Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer

This exciting role will allow the ideal candidate to grow their core server and networking infrastructure skills whilst learning to manage and deploy the latest cloud technologies and is ideally suited to an ambitious IT Infrastructure Professional keen to invest in new skills for their future career.

Main purpose of the role

Delighting our customers by providing exceptional cloud and infrastructure management services, reduce and removing their IT problems whilst helping them get the best out of their technology.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Management of cloud and traditional infrastructure technologies
  • Developing our investment in automation and monitoring technology
  • Research new technologies, service improvement and problem resolution
  • Mentoring junior staff and assisting with training
  • Delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work with the team to help grow our business

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Exceptional customer service and confident communication skills
  • Experience in a 2nd line or higher IT support role
  • Experience in managing, troubleshooting and deploying:
    • Office 365, Office Desktop, Windows 7/8/8.1
    • Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Windows 2008/2012 Server
    • Exchange Server 2010/13, Online
    • Business class firewalls – Cisco and WatchGuard preferable
    • Managed switches and routers
  • Autotask or Connectwise Service Management System
  • Infrastructure monitoring / Network Operations systems
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Full driving license, own transport
