Infrastructure project engineer

Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity in our projects team for an additional infrastructure engineer who wishes to advance their core cloud, server and networking skills whilst gaining experience of working in a fast paced and rapidly changing IT environment. Main purpose of the role

Implementing projects and designing new technical solutions for our clients whilst providing exceptional customer service both internally, to the team and externally to our clients.

Main duties

• Delivery of a variety of project work for our clients ranging from network upgrades to security improvements to Microsoft 365 migrations
• Defining and working to an agreed scope of work
• Documenting all new services and configurations
• Assisting sales team in Pre-Sales work
• Providing 3rd line technical knowledge for escalated tickets
• Project management of all project work
• Updating project plans and keeping time sheet entries of work
• Working closely with the existing projects team to report and overcome any challenges
• Arranging user acceptance testing
• Working with application vendors and partners where required to deliver project work

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Full driving licence and own transport

Experience in the following would be an advantage

  • Autotask or ConnectWise Service Management System
  • Previous employment at an IT Managed Service Provider
  • Delivering technical projects in an SME environment
  • Working with a change management process
  • Experience in managing, troubleshooting and deploying:
    • Azure AD, Active Directory & Windows Server
    • Office 365 – particularly Exchange & SharePoint migrations
    • Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager
    • Azure AD Connect
    • Azure IaaS & PaaS
    • Windows Virtual Desktop
    • WatchGuard Firewalls
    • General TCP/IP networking skills
    • Datto networking and backup / recovery devices

Salary

£25K-£37K depending on experience
