Sales Executive

This exciting role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity to develop their Sales career whilst offering significant earning potential. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, it offers a distinct degree of autonomy whilst also being very visible within the business.

Main purpose of the role

Working to targets the Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new managed service business opportunities, managing them through to closure and developing accounts to maximise ongoing value and revenue to the business.

Main duties

  • Meeting individual new business sales targets by:
  • Growing assigned accounts and maximising profit and revenue
  • Developing leads through cold calling, networking and other channels
  • Identifying customer pain points addressed by our services
  • Delivering webinars and client presentations
  • Developing sales opportunities and closing them
  • Articulating value of services and solutions
  • Creating proposals and quotations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within the company’s CRM

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities

  • Commercial acumen with a sound understanding of business challenges
  • An exceptional communicator and competent presenter
  • A self-starter with a desire to learn and develop
  • An overwhelming desire to win
  • Ability to be able to work to a defined sales process and methodology


  • Proven and demonstrable record of developing leads and achieving sales targets
  • Working within an SME environment
  • A good grasp of information technology and aptitude to developing understanding
  • Ability to self-manage whilst working towards objectives
  • Experience of IT Managed Service Sales preferable
