PARKLANDS PROPERTY LAWYERS
Parklands Property Lawyers are a Surrey based firm of conveyancing lawyers with a strong reputation both locally and further afield with estate agents, clients and other law firms. They provide a friendly, personal, bespoke “jargon free” service to their clients and are dependent on technology to maintain this exceptional level of service.
THE CHALLENGES
Parklands Property Lawyers were using a legacy case management system running on virtual infrastructure in a private datacentre that was nearing the end of support from the vendor. There was a desire to move to a more modern case management system while retaining access to the previous data for regulatory compliance.
Parklands are a long-standing client of Pro Drive and chose to continue the relationship for this project based on their deep understanding of their business and the specific demands of conveyancing lawyers.
KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure – to provide cloud-based hosting for the market leading Redbrick case management system.
Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) – allowing staff to work from anywhere with a secure, consistent
experience
Microsoft Intune – used to help deploy software and security services to desktop computers and laptops
THE APPROACH
Pro Drive IT created a new Microsoft Azure cloud environment and network along with virtual servers to run the new Redbrick case management software. We then deployed Microsoft Azure Virtual desktop and deployed business applications along with a comprehensive testing programme.
Finally, staff computers were reconfigured to work with the new cloud services and enhanced security protection was deployed to increase the firm’s cyber security posture.
THE RESULTS
- Improved cyber security by moving away from older applications and infrastructure
- Reduction in operating costs by moving to the modern, scalable Microsoft Azure platform
- Increased productivity from using modern systems with simplified access
Migration to the new infrastructure allowed Parklands to operate the business on a modern case management system, running on modern infrastructure with staff computers configured and secured by a modern device management solution.
