Service Desk Administrator (6 month Kick Start placement)

Working in a small and dynamic IT services business, the purpose of this role will be to provide support to our busy Service Desk Team and to help them deliver first class technical support and assistance to our clients.

This role is being provided through the UK Government Kickstart Scheme and it is important you meet the criteria before applying.  These are:

  • You are 18-24 years of age.

Main purpose of the role

Working with the Service Desk Manager you will provide assistance and support to our busy service desk team who solve issues and support the day to day IT operations of our client base.

Main duties

  • Liaising with clients to schedule technical work
  • Triaging service desk tickets
  • Answering calls and emails from clients
  • Helping collect and administer feedback through our NetPromoter customer service programme
  • Updating our documentation and service management systems
  • Helping to administer our monitoring and security systems

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities

  • Basic computing skills (email, Office suite)
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Ability to reach our offices in Old Woking (25 minute walk from Woking station)

Experience

  • Basic understanding of IT networks an advantage
