Last week Pro Drive IT was delighted to attend the Surrey Law Society (SLS) Legal Awards 2025, held once again at G Live in Guildford.

As providers of specialist IT support to the legal sector, Pro Drive are longstanding patrons of the SLS and proud to support an event that recognises the outstanding talent within Surrey’s legal profession. Representing Pro Drive IT at this prestigious event were Bruce Penson (Managing Director) and Matt Taylor (Technical Director).

This year’s ceremony was the largest ever with over 300 guests from across the county’s legal sector, all enjoying a fabulous dinner in an amazing venue. Helen Opie (CEO) and Elouise Enright (events co-ordinator) from the SLS once again made sure there was a raft of entertainment from fire juggling to magicians, with some amazing music from The Velvet Tones. The SLS event page has a wonderful gallery of photos here: Surrey Law Society.

The awards themselves were hosted by Shaun Wallace (barrister and TV personality from ITV’s “The Chase”). Prior to the awards Shaun gave a fascinating interview about his journey to the Bar and the importance of diversity in law with John Hyde from the Law Society Gazette asking the questions.

As always, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards across 14 categories, each celebrating the dedication and achievements of Surrey’s legal professionals. Bruce Penson presented the award for the “Law firm of the year (Under 20 fee earners) to Nichols Marcy Dawson, and Howell Jones Solicitors were named “Law Firm of the Year (20+ Fee Earners)”. Several other firms picked up multiple awards on the night so a special mention to Peacock and Co Solicitors, Morr & Co LLP and Russel-Cooke LLP.

Pro Drive are once again working with the Surrey Law Society on November 19th 2025, with a special workshop for SLS members on how to ensure they can protect their businesses from cyber attack. For more information and registration details see the event page here: Pro Drive IT Events

The whole team at Pro Drive look forward to continuing our support for the SLS and its members, and to celebrating further successes in the years to come.
