Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a 2nd line Senior Helpdesk Engineer who wishes to advance their core cloud, server and networking skills whilst gaining experience of working in a fast paced and rapidly changing IT environment. Main purpose of the role

You will be a key part of our mission to deliver exceptional client-facing services by supporting our clients’ users and infrastructure whilst developing and deploying systems to automate and improve efficiency of our management tools. You will also be an escalation point from 1st line engineers.

Main duties

  • Providing end user, cloud and infrastructure support and management
  • Proactively improving customer networks and management system
  • Troubleshooting issues escalated from the service desk
  • Rotation on a 24/7 on call schedule
  • Working with the team to help grow our business
  • Delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities

  • Full driving licence and own transport

Experience in the following would be an advantage

  • Working at a Managed Service Provider in an IT support role
  • Managing, troubleshooting and deploying (essential):
    • Active Directory & Windows Server
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Exchange Server
    • Office 365 Exchange Online
    • Office 365 SharePoint Online
    • Remote Desktop Services
    • Windows 10 desktop
  • Managing, troubleshooting and deploying (advantageous):
    • Datto backup and recovery services
    • Datto networking
    • Mimecast email security
    • StorageCraft backup and recovery services
    • Sophos Endpoint and Server security
    • WatchGuard Firewalls
  • Autotask or Connectwise Service Management
  • Remote monitoring and management (RMM) systems
  • Working at an IT Managed Service Provider
  • Working with a change management process
